VibeShot is designed for local, user-triggered capture.

Screen capture

VibeShot captures a screen region only when you actively trigger a shortcut or menu action and select an area. It does not perform continuous background screen recording.

OCR

Text recognition in the MVP uses Apple's Vision framework on your Mac. VibeShot does not save OCR history.

Clipboard and temporary files

When screenshot capture succeeds, VibeShot writes compatible clipboard data so you can paste the result into AI chat, editors, or Terminal. For terminal-friendly workflows, VibeShot may cache a temporary local PNG file so a file path can be pasted where text input is expected.

Permissions

macOS Screen Recording permission is required because VibeShot lets you select and capture screen regions. This permission is used for user-triggered captures only.

Purchases

VibeShot Pro is planned as a non-consumable lifetime purchase handled through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple may process purchase and account information according to Apple's policies.
